Texas Sweep Targets Immigrant Sex-Offenders "In a sting described as a first of its kind because it targeted sex offenders in the country illegally, federal officials arrested 50 people across Texas on immigration violations over a five-day period that ended this week. Officials are seeking to deport those people, though first they will seek to prosecute those who have been previously deported. They will be charged in federal court with the felony of illegal re-entry of a deported alien," The Austin American Statesman says. |
