Thousands of Drug War Deaths This Year and Mexico Sends Human Rights Inspectors to Watch Arizona

"Mexico's National Human Rights Commission said Monday it is sending inspectors to U.S. border crossings to monitor deportations that might result if Arizona's new immigration law goes into effect as planned Thursday. The law is being challenged by the U.S. government in court, but the federal judge hearing the case hasn't indicated whether she might agree to the challenge's request that the measure be put on hold," the AP reports. The move comes after a report earlier this year of numerous deaths (over 22,000) over the last 3 years of the drug war. Two Americans detained in Mexico earlier this month said they were tortured by Mexican police to confess to drug crimes. When will Mexico's Human Rights Commission report on that incident?
