Free Lawyers for Mentally Ill Criminal Aliens Fighting Deportation?


The group Human Rights Watch wants taxpayers to cough up even more money to make sure that mentally ill criminal aliens get an attorney so they can file endless appeals of their deportation. A report from the group criticized the lack of a full-employment mandate for tax-funded lawyers for mentally ill non-citizens trying to stay in the U.S. According to the group, up to 15 percent of all non-citizens trying to stay in the U.S. might be mentally ill.
