Amnesty Plan Bad News for the Unemployed? "Depending on how you look at it, President Barack Obama's executive order on immigration is either good news for young illegal immigrants who can now apply for work permits, or bad news for the nation's unemployed workers who now face more competition for jobs," says the Grand Rapids Press. "The policy could impact about 800,000 immigrants, The New York Times reported. That's bad news for the millions of unemployed workers nationwide, said K.C. McAlpin, executive director of U.S. Inc., a Petoskey-based foundation that researches immigration issues." |
