Illegal Alien Supporters Ready Civil Disobedience Campaign

Protesters upset by Arizona's new immigration law blocked a van carrying detainees being deported from leaving an ICE detention center yesterday. "The van was scheduled to take undocumented workers to O'Hare International Airport for a flight out of the country," the Chicago Tribune reported. "In the end, this is about lawlessness and security and respect for law," FAIR president Dan Stein said.

Texas Legislators Say Arizona Law A Good Model

"Texas lawmakers are closely watching Arizona's get-tough immigration law, with Democrats saying the legislation is wrongheaded while some Republicans say they'll push for similar action here," the San Antonio Express News says. "The first priority for any elected official is to make sure that the safety and security of Texans is well-established," said Rep. Debbie Riddle, R-Tomball. "If our federal government did their job, then Arizona wouldn't have to take this action, and neither would Texas."
