Border Closed After Shooting at Port of Entry
"Federal agents opened fire Tuesday on three vans carrying at least 70 people suspected of being illegal immigrants when the drivers of the vehicles tried to crash through a California border crossing," the New York Times reported. Attempts to bust through ports of entry have declined, and a spokeswoman for DHS noted that attempting to break through a port of entry was "Nearly impossible -- and extremely dangerous."
