New York Times Report Imagines "Aggressive" Obama Crackdown

The New York Times' Julia Preston says that in spite of President Obama's promises of amnesty, he is actually cracking down more on illegal immigration than the Bush administration. The article suggests amnesty advocates are disappointed, and stunningly claims that DHS secretary Napolitano is expanding enforcement; Preston heavily on a series of misleading claims and statements from the administration. The article also claims Senator Schumer is pushing for a return to the term "illegal immigrants" rather than the current vogue of using misnomers like "undocumented." The entire spin is supposed to set up the push for big amnesty, apparently.

Phoenix Mayor Won't Let FAIR Attend Secret SPLC Briefing

The SPLC is staging secret meetings with Arizona law enforcement as well as Phoenix mayor Phil Gordon (Aug. 12-14). The SPLC is planning on branding all Arizona groups that oppose illegal immigration as hate groups and individuals as "haters," to try to intimidate them into toning down their opposition to amnesty and mass immigration. FAIR president Dan Stein wrote to mayor Gordon last month requesting FAIR be allowed to attend these secret meetings but the public has been barred from these meetings - designed to demonize patriotic Americans and inculcate suspicion of legitimate political activity in the police.
