Obama Admin. Will Seek Guard Volunteers for Border Duty
After reported infighting between the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security over the use of military units at the border, the Obama administration is expected to seek 1,500 National Guard volunteers for border duty. The Guardsmen will perform many of the same tasks they have in previous border deployments including working at manned border checkpoints and logistical support. Read more here.
Pro-Amnesty Massachusetts Panel Expected to Report Soon
Massachusetts' Governor's Advisory Council for Refugees and Immigrants, stacked by Gov. Deval Patrick with amnesty advocates, is expected to issue a report soon. Among the recommendations will be in-state tuition for illegal aliens and driver's licenses as well. Read more here.
