Mass Amnesty Stalls as Recession Persists

"We won't be touching immigration reform during a recession. So the possibility of getting any comprehensive reform in the next two years is about zero." So said University of Arizona Professor Emeritus Ed Williams during an interview with the Dubuque, IA, Telegraph Herald Thursday. Prof. Williams also mentioned that President Obama now agrees with his former presidential campaign rival, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., that border security has to come before any reform. DHS Report Influences Census Partnership Program

The Census Bureau, taking its marching orders from a recent DHS report about extremism, has listed "hate groups," "law enforcement" "and "anti-immigrant groups" among those that would be refused permission to become a partner with the 2010 Census.
