I live in Illinois where Obama et al accept all legal and illegal immigrants.
The town where I live has a very large population of illegal immigrants - none of whom will speak English because they don't have to.
Most of these immigrants came over on ''vacation'' from eastern european countries and have never had to leave.
Going into a local grocery store is like attending a third world bazaar.
I am the foreigner in my own country now.

It’s common these days among the ignorant to think that the employers can be easily prosecuted. The fact is that employers are only required to complete and retain a form and to check documents. Said documents can be easily forged and are available on street corners in most major cities and in many small towns throughout America and are of sufficient quality to fool the naked eye. Employers are not required to check the validity of these documents, only to review them.

An employer who completes and retains the required form is difficult to prosecute. The raids against Swift & Co and Pilgrims Pride didn’t net any high level people. When they nailed Walmart a few years ago it took court approved wire taps to get the evidence. Look who’s getting hauled off to jail, some scum bag subcontractor.

It’s not that simple to prosecute the employers. People that think otherwise really need to be educated on this issue.

Everyone is saying throw the book at them because of the illegals - and I fully agree with all that. Nobody mentioned in their posts about the meth lab. Will the owners be thrown the book or slapped on the wrist for having a meth lab on their company land? I want to see a criminal follow-up on one of these so we can see what, if anything, is being done to these employers.

Why are some employers complaining about E-Verify? Because E-Verify makes it easier to hire American Workers before foreign workers! Isn't that "the way we like it?"

Those that hire American citizens find it easy and accurate with only about 1% rejected.

But those employers operating on the fringe by avoiding American workers and looking for cheap labor (foreign workers with green cards and illegal immigrants) find it difficult because they cause delays and have a much higher rejection rate of about 7%.

About 5% of all E-Verify rejections are received by persons who are not work authorized. Of these most either choose not to contest the rejection or indicate that they will contest the finding but then fail to follow through.

First the H1B Visa is only supposed to be used for labor shortages in mostly tech fields. The worst kept secret is there are no labor shortages here. H1B Visas are only used to try and push out more profits at the expense of the American Worker.

The only way your argument could hold water is it was only a small hand full of Americans being replaced by H1B Visa holders but instead it's tens of thousands of Americans being replaced so companies can meet unrealistic profit targets in a given quarter so the CEOs and Execs can get their outrageous bonuses. I have yet to meet an H1B Visa holder who was more qualified than the 100's of Americans / fellow co-workers I've seen laid off of the last several years. Black Ministers in the L.A. area have been asking Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson to come and help them restore some semblance of civility in their neighborhoods for years but, as one Black Minister said, "there's not enough money or media coverage in it for them to come here".
Mr. Sharpten conveniently forgets that Blacks are the biggest group being displace by illegal "cheap labor" aliens. Blacks have also become the biggest racial cleansing target for Hispanic gangs. #1 - There can be no exceptions for any reason. We either insist on total enforcement of current immigration law, or we disregard it altogether. Otherwise you are providing grounds for exceptions for everyone. There is simply no justification for exceptions to our laws.

#2 - This is a pet peeve of mine so grant me a bit of latitude here: Where ever your ancestors came from they made an extraordinary sacrifice in order to give you the gift of American citizenship. I choose to honor my great grandparents for their selfless gift by pledging my allegiance to this country and this country only. If you call yourself an American, you really need to drop the hyphen. It only serves to divide us, and as history has demonstrated time and time again, divided we will fall.

#3 - Whether they swam across an ocean, came in on a work visa and overstayed, or snuck across a wide open border, they are in violation of our immigration law and we cannot tolerate or make an exception for any reason (see #1).

P.S. I have the world’s most amazing grandson, whose paternal grandparents are of Irish descent. He will call himself an American.

Three of my four great-grandparents came from Ireland (maternal side) during the potato famine, yet the Irish who are here now illegally should get in line - in Ireland - just like the rest of the world. I've looked at some of the blogs in Ireland, and many of the Irish people think illegal immigration is a slap in the face to the U.S. They are correct.

I would be less opposed to grant special status for illegal aliens from a WASP-type country. But Ireland is mostly Catholic, and gained notoriety for staunch reluctance against birth control. Not that all Irish are of that kind, but excessive breeding will drag us all into poverty before long (just like it dragged Irland into poverty).

Also, growing influence of the Catholic Church in the U.S. may spell out trouble for all of us. After all, there were many good reasons why we did separate from the Rome's rule more than half millennium ago. There is no good reason to go back.

So, be careful what you wish for when you call for legalization of all Irish illegals.

Immigrants of today should not be allowed to take credit for the efforts of immigrants of yesterday. Unit 5: Our Changing Nation Essay Assignment

The various websites I found for immigration are listed in my Works Cited and one of them is a useful neutral non-partisan discussion website (Messerli, Joe), albeit lacked recent immigration news issues that the mainstream media generally omits anyway. I went to the Numbers USA website (Comparison of Immigration Reform Proposals: SAVE Act (2007) vs. H.R. 4432 (2005)) to get the recent legislation scoop on immigration, as it’s the best source that I know about on recent government law actions in process.
The reliability of all my websites is they are all non-partisan and Numbers USA is non-profit too. The BalancedPolitics.org website (Messerli, Joe) source I used documents both “pros” and “cons” to maintaining/increasing immigration in America, so it’s appearance is trustworthy, but in my opinion, still lacks key details on the “con” side of the issue. The Numbers USA sources are obviously “con” websites only, but since mainstream media and alleged neutral immigration websites generally refuse to publicize recent bi-partisan government actions to limit immigration, I used them as a best/only sole source available. I added more references as I wrote the essay to back up my salient points too.
The differences of opinions on the subject of immigration are documented in some detail from the BalancedPolitics.org website. The “pro” side had much more details and emphasizes increasing diversity of ethnic groups and providing big business plenty of cheap labor, while offering amnesty as a way to eliminate the illegal alien counts. The “con” side description from this “alleged balanced website” of increasing/maintaining immigration did a poor job in my estimation, as they omitted the adherence to America’s Constitutional Immigration Laws by our employers as a key rationale (in my opinion, it is); irrespective, the website focused on drug elimination and wage depressions. It also omitted another key “con” argument, uncontrolled population growth (Messerli, Joe).
The Numbers USA website documents the Secure America with Verification Enforcement (SAVE) Act of 2007 (Comparison of Immigration Reform Proposals: SAVE Act (2007) vs. H.R. 4432 (2005)) hitting the Senate and the House for possible Discharge Petition; which has absolutely no amnesty provision and basically emphasizes border protection and employer enforcement only. It has clear and substantial bi-partisan support (The Campaign to Pass the SAVE Act), as its split between 162 Democrats and Republicans alike on support and petition signatures to date. Congressman Pelosi and Senator Reid are against the bill, but when it comes to immigration overpopulation they don’t listen to approximately 90% of the voters’ desire to trim growth from their neighborhoods’ roads, wetlands, parks and schools, as they apparently want to add to it and support more and more overpopulation amnesty. Then they want green house gas reduced too, with their magic wand.
The mainstream media usually weasel words pro-amnesty polls to say, “Do you support guest workers on farms”, to split the results, but you’ll never find an intelligent Zogby Poll that asks, “Do you support more growth in your neighborhoods”.
My take on immigration is very clear; we need a break from it. We have more important issues impacting our country like hyper-inflation destroying our economy due to uncontrolled growth. The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) documents 87% of the American environmental destruction overpopulation is legal/illegal immigrants and asserts the other 13% is the illegal anchor babies. The baby boomers are environmental kings and queens, as they kept population in America on a positive environmental decline, until greedy illegal businesses pushed unplanned growth and reversed their positive trends (Cleaning the Air on Immigration and the Environment). Yet we hear on mainstream media the horrors of the baby boomers for being infertile and not overpopulating America like good citizens increasing our carbon footprint, so we need illegal immigrants’ anchor babies to bring us back to utopia again. The brainlessness of this is not educated liberal in my book, as it’s clearly unplanned nonsense and the result in my opinion: the subprime banking mess, $4/gal gas, bridges collapsing and masses of unemployed kids with college degrees heading into this current American recession, etc, etc. It’s clear from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, only about 20% of the growth in jobs requires a degree, yet, about 30% of American youth from age 21-30 have degrees (The 30 Occupations with the Largest Employment Growth, 2006-2016) and (Leaf, George).
In my book, the next President doesn’t win the election, he inherits this hopeless mess that took decades to create and will be serving one term too, especially if he/she doesn’t implement depopulation in immigration ASAP to head off possible stagflation depression. My generation is doomed too, if we don’t depopulate now.

I think that it is really bad that the company who was hired to do the work on the courthouse got the job and had the balls to hire illegal aliens who would be getting paid with tax payer money. They probably underbid many other contractors who do things legally and take out taxes and pay benefits to their workers. What message does this send to other companies initially other than if you play by the rules, you are out of the game. I am glad that they got busted, now they should fine the employers and take their contract away and give it to someone who does things the right way
