FAIR Participates in So. California Live Debate on Immigration

FAIR's media director Ira Mehlman engaged in a free-wheeling debate about how to deal with illegal immigration in an hour-long on-air town hall-style meeting that was broadcast on April 15. The debate took place on KPCC, Southern California's leading NPR affiliate and was taped in front of a live studio audience. The event also featured Antonio Gonzalez, an outspoken amnesty advocate and Dipankar Purkayastha, an economic professor. Hosted by Air Talk's Larry Mantle, the debate provided Southern California listeners a stark contrast between the increasingly radical agenda of the amnesty lobby and FAIR's mainstream approach to immigration reform.
