La Raza Says Health Care Reform "Should Reflect Latino Interests"

The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) likes to bill itself as a mainstream American organization, and protests loudly when described as ethno-centric. Not ethno-centric? You decide.

Consider this email action alert sent out by NCLR on January 14 with the subject line: "A 2010 To-Do List for the Senate." Item #1 on the to-do list is "Finish health care reform fairly." What should be the objective of health care reform legislation, you might wonder? "Reform should reflect Latino priorities," states the NCLR action alert.
