Attorney Convicted for Marriage Fraud


An Ohio immigration attorney was convicted of marriage fraud and now faces deportation. Lillian Asante entered into a sham marriage so she could stay in the U.S. Asante's real husband was convicted as well for entering into a sham marriage of his own. "The Asantes married in Ghana in 1999 and entered the United States in August 2002. Lillian Asante attended Ohio State University law school, earning her degree in 2005, while Kwadwo Asante earned an MBA at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland," according to news reports.
