British Politician: Afghan War Helps UK Control Immigration UK Immigration Minister Phil Woolas told a Parliament Committee that one benefit to British troops fighting in Afghanistan was that the number of asylum seekers had decreased dramatically. "An argument that is not aired strongly enough in my view is the benefit of the presence of our armed forces and other countries' is to help us control immigration." |
