Israeli Mall Workers Find Door Closed Israelis looking to make some fast cash working Christmas season in U.S. malls are out of luck, says Tsvi Kan-Tor with Israel's Ynet News. Kan-Tor explains that "The mall industry quickly took advantage of the obscure nature of the [H-2B] visa to temporarily hire Israelis, despite the fact that it is a year-round industry. The USCIS finally wised up and decided to toughen H-B2 criteria." Another change in the H-2B regulations makes it harder for malls to hire H-2B applicants since they must show they attempted to hire American workers. |
