Verification Stops Benefit Fraud, Abuse


"Since July 2008, when Los Angeles County began implementing tougher federal verification rules, [Leonardo] Rincon and his colleagues have gone back to check the documents of more than 100,000 recipients of Medi-Cal, the public healthcare program for low-income residents," the LA Times writes. "If you don't have these systems, you might have hundreds of thousands of illegals trying to get health benefits," noted Steven A. Camarota with CIS.
