One-Quarter of H-1B Visas Unclaimed


Unlike previous years, the allotment of 65,000 H-1B visas was not claimed completely, underlining the low demand for foreign workers by companies. The Sify news site said that 47,000 of the 65,000 visas had been applied for so far by the end of the fiscal year. The new federal fiscal year starts today, with another 65,000 visa spots available.
