Grassley Demands Action from DHS on H-1B Abuse
Computerworld reports that Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) "wants IT consulting companies that hire H-1B workers at third party client sites to prove that there is work waiting for them." Grassley prodded the agency into action last year after a report found that at least one in five H-1B visa applications had some type of fraud or violation. "Employers need to be held accountable so that foreign workers are not flooding the market, depressing wages, and taking jobs from qualified Americans," Grassley said in a letter to the agency.
