Obama Administration's Enforcement Efforts: Firings Over Raids Julia Preston with the New York Times says recent firings by American Apparel and other companies show the change in enforcement by the Obama administration from worksite raids to forcing employers to fire illegal workers. The new emphasis on all employers has support, as Rep. Brian Bilbray noted, "They [employers] seem to think that somehow the law doesn't matter, that crossing the line from legal to illegal is not a big deal." |
