FAIR Analysis: House Health Care Reform Bill Will Burden American Taxpayers From FAIR's Government Relations Team Much has been said about how the loophole in the House health care bill, America's Affordable Health Choices Act (H.R. 3200), will allow illegal aliens to receive taxpayer-funded health benefits. A recent cost analysis concluded that this loophole may cost the American taxpayers up to $30.5 billion annually. Overlooked in the current debate, however, is another provision in the House bill that reverses an important policy regarding legal aliens -- a decision that will have costly consequences for American taxpayers. FAIR has just released an analysis of the fiscal impact this policy will have on the federal budget. |
