Nashville Sheriff Says 287(g) Program Will Continue Sheriff Daron Hall says that the 287(g) program to identify illegal immigrants will continue to operate despite concerns about how it may conflict with Tennessee's open records law. The ACLU, which opposes 287(g) nevertheless weighed in on the side of Hall, because the ACLU uses open-records requests to make spurious claims of profiling in an effort to derail immigration enforcement at the local level. |
