ICE Tightens Secrecy Rules Over 287(g) As part of the revamp of 287(g), Immigration and Customs Enforcement is putting new limits on disclosure of information about immigration detentions. "A Tennessee sheriff who's a strong backer of a program that lets local authorities enforce federal immigration laws may stop participating because of new restrictions that could keep secret basic information like who's been detained," the AP reported. |
