Michigan Employers Oppose State E-Verify Bills The Michigan Chamber of Commerce is following the lead of the national Chamber in opposing any measure to make employers accountable for hiring illegal workers. In a release, the Michigan Chamber says House Bills 4355 and 4969 in Michigan would turn employers into the "immigration police" - which is untrue of these bills and other measures that mandate E-Verify use for government contractors. |
