Amnesty Boosters Upset Over Obama Remarks


After President Obama said during his Mexico visit that amnesty might be delayed, ethnic advocacy groups were quick to condemn the 'betrayal', the Washington Times reported. Groups claiming to represent illegal immigrants are now focusing on going beyond the gutting of interior enforcement already announced by the Obama administration - including severely limiting the effectiveness of 287(g) and local enforcement. Their goal is to keep as many illegal immigrants as possible in the country until an amnesty can be passed, the Times reports.
