Comprehensive Amnesty Pushed Back to 2010?


Depending on who you talk to on any given day, you may get a different answer. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has said repeatedly that he is drafting a bill, or at least a framework of a bill, for comprehensive amnesty by Labor Day of this year. However, at a Friday afternoon meeting with correspondents from Hispanic media outlets, President Obama said he expects Congress to deal with immigration early next year.
