Census Boycott by Hispanics Divides Ethnic Lobby The Rev. Miguel Rivera with the National Coalition of Latino Clergy and Christian Leaders says that he is supporting a Census boycott by Hispanics because of the lack of an amnesty for illegal aliens. He feels that because the Census numbers are used by other power brokers for Congressional apportionment as well as grant money to the states, withholding Census participation will bring them around to passing amnesty. |
