ICE Agents To Get More Authority in Drug Cases


Attorney General Eric Holder said he was prepared to give ICE agents more authority to assist in making drug arrests to assist with Mexico's effort to combat drug cartels destabilizing the entire border. The decision ends a turf fight by the DEA and FBI to keep ICE agents from making drug arrests and poaching what some viewed as their turf. ICE has approximately as many agents near the border as the DEA. Now if we could only get Holder to allow DEA agents to get training in immigration law enforcement. Read more here.
