The Politics of Homeland Insecurity
Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano has decided that the best way to deal with the negative aspects of the sensitive issue of dealing with illegal immigration is to move that responsibility to local officials, city, state and federal. However, George H. Wittman, writing for American Spectator, says that allowing federal responsibility to be diminished in order to avoid political blame is self-serving to the point of obstruction of the intent of homeland security.
