ICE Enforcement Raid in Hawaii
The spread of Mexican and other illegal workers has spread widely throughout the United States
in recent years. The extent of that spread is documented in a just completed ICE raid in Hawaii against the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and the Cheeseburger Island Style and Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurants in Wailea and Lahaina, Hawaii. Twenty-two illegal immigrant workers were apprehended. The Maui News quotes Wayne Wills, special agent in charge of the ICE office of investigations in Honolulu as commenting, "The lure of employment is one of the most significant factors fueling illegal immigration. Every job held by an illegal alien is a job taken from a U.S. citizen or legal resident of this area."
