Business Lobby Helps Kill Indiana Reform Bill

"Indiana is unlikely to begin cracking down on businesses that knowingly hire illegal immigrants anytime soon. Lawmakers apparently killed a proposal to do just that late Thursday night after a legislative conference committee could not agree on a final version of a bill that would have yanked the license of offending employers. Business and manufacturing lobbyists were all smiles and handshakes afterward, but declined to comment until the session ends today," the Indianapolis Star reports. "Even after watching his bill collapse in the committee, Delph kept working behind closed doors to put together a proposal that would have restored most of his original bill without $1.5 million in funding he initially called for -- a sticking point for some other lawmakers. But with the hours ticking down, Delph said key legislators killed his bill."

EVERY GOVERNMENT IN OUR COUNTRY IS INFESTED WITH CORPORATE WHORE POLITICIANS!

It seems corporate America is still waging war on the middle class. I'd love a list of companies lobbying against law enforcement. Did someone say boycott?

I shall print this out and carry it with me when I am out. Time to quit going to restaurants, stores, hotels. If we need to have a full-blown recession to get rid of invaders, count me in!

What can one really say. The people of Indiana have the fight of their lives ahead of them, unless they want to capitulate to Corporate Facism, because that is ALL that is going on here.

There are an estimated 55,000 to 85,000 illegal immigrants living in Indiana. At the same time 148,000 legal Indiana workers are unemployed. The illegal workers push wages down and displace legal workers. In Indiana the last few years have seen illegal workers move into good construction and factory jobs. Poor Americans and those who work with their hands pay the price while businessmen profit. In Indiana they were literally lobbying to be allowed to continue to get away with violating the law. A boycott of businesses that are found to employ illegal workers is a good idea.

Most of the blame for the killing of the Delph(R)-Tincher(D) compromise bill lies at the hands of Indiana House Speaker Pat Bauer(D) and to a lesser extent Senate Leader Brian Bosma(R).
I would also say that Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels(R) was very cool to this bill. It makes sense because Mitch Daniels is member of the Indiana Cheap Labor Republican club along with powerful Congressman Mike Pence and are both long time "Loyal Bushies". Daniels was Bush's first budget director who gladly endorsed out phony numbers on the deficit effects of the Bush tax cuts and the Iraq war. Mitch Daniels has been a major advocate for the expansion H1-B and H2-B visa programs through out his political career.

That Bauer would pull a "Spitzer" and arrogantly ignores the overwhelming desires of Hoosier Republicans, Democrats and Independents really was not a surprise. Pat Bauer, whose trademark is one of the worse "dead skunk" toupee imaginable, represents downtown South Bend and much of the campus of the University of Notre Dame. The Catholic Church in Indiana and Notre Dame in particular were some of the bill's major opponents.

However, don't worry folks. The killing of the Delph bill stinks to high heaven with corruption and payoffs The Hoosiers, who's attention which primarily has been focused on a property tax reform bill will switch to immigration reform. This fight has only just begun.

Bauer, Bosma, Republican Mike Murphy, Democrat Pelath, Mitch Daniels, Pence and other will all have to face the voters this fall. It wil not be pretty.

Check out the hoosiersforsecureborders website
for just who needs a good ass kicking come November.

One last bit of speculation. I wonder if Speaker Bauer helped kill this bill as a favor to the National Democratic party. Both Hillary and Obama are now forced to campaign in the states of Pennsylvania, Indiana and North Carolina. All states where the forces of Immigration Restrictionism are now running strong. Killing the Delph bill will allow Obama, Clinton and McCain to downplay the Immigration Issue prior to the May 6th primary. 5 days after an expected major May 1st nationwide Hispanic Open Borders rallies and the day after Cinco de Mayo. The passing of the Delph bill would have put all three of the candidates in a bind because they could have been asked whether or not they would have supported it. Instead both Hillary and Obama are now both working with Ted Kennedy and others to incorporate sham Employer enforcement protections into the Civil Rights Act of 2008 as a substitute for bills like Delph's which are being introduced in statehouses across the country.
