Long Island Tries Enforcement Against Illegal Alien Boarding Houses
"The officers showed up at 6 a.m. at the four connected apartments on 
Old Country Road. They went from bedroom to bedroom, waking children and photographing the premises and the residents, who all were Latino immigrants, of varying legal status . . . Thirteen Guatemalan passports were confiscated. But while the Oct. 30 raid may have seemed like an immigration raid to the residents, it turned out to be a building inspection, conducted by code enforcement officers and police officers from the Town of Southampton, which includes Westhampton," the New York Times reports. "As part of the same crackdown, last August the town board approved a comprehensive rental law intended to stop the crowding of multiple families into single units. The law, which went into effect on Jan. 1, requires landlords to obtain rental permits from the town, for which they must pay a fee, to provide details on each unit and to identify each tenant. Violations carry stiff penalties, including fines of $1,500 to $15,000 and six-month jail sentences for three convictions within 18 months."

Here we go again! I am not going to be politically correct. The vast majority of illegal aliens in Long Island, N.Y. are are hispanic. Sorry, it's not racism just the facts.

If an American is arrested and jailed, who has kids, we still keep them in jail. Their children suffer but I guess illegal alien families should be given special priveledges.

You can call it harassment if you want to but read the whole headline - "Crackdown on L.I. Landlords . . . " The immigrants are the sufferers in this situation - but don't get me wrong - they should still crackdown and crackdown hard and often.
It is like the drunk driver who goes out and kills an innocent person - because of their poor judgement an innocent someone is injured - but in these cases they are NOT innocent. They are illegally in this country and they are hiding in the shadows and should be flushed out.

It seems in any situation that involves illegals, weare being asked to allow laws to be broken accomidate these criminals. The ACLU is using any excuse to keep them here, we can use any excuse to get rid of them. If any one has a problem with this call 1 800 Waa-Waaa.
My friends mom had a duplex home that she rented out. Both homes were two bedrooms, two baths. One side was rented to a small family and the other side was rented to a hispanic couple that was here legally. She started getting calls from neighbors about the amount of people living in the hispanic couples side but she would go check things out and wouldn't be allowed in the house but things seemed to be ok until the 2nd month they were there and the septic tank overflowed and caused major problems, she then found out that there were 17 people living there and they were living in bunk beds in the dining room, living rooms and bedrooms. She was really mad when she found out that this couple was collecting rent from all of these guys at 200 bucks a month and she was only renting the place for 700 a month from the couple. They were keeping the rest as income.
I wonder why these people can get away with collecting money and not reporting it as income. Where is the IRS on that. Why aren't they being regulated like a hotel or boarding house would be?
Why aren't these people held to the same rules as citizens are when it comes to things like this?
