Did he pull the case into his court or was it random? They need to get the judge to remove himself as he could be clearly bias against the border patrol agents. It is nothing less than government corruption and chicanery at the highest levels. Our legal system is as broke as our political system. we need to start over. Things sure are not working the way that they are. I wonder just how far the reaches of the mexican drug cartels go when it comes to padding the coffers of other hispanics, who might think they are not making enough pesos in the US. I guess it just shows the better approach would have been to shoot the drug dealer a little higher up and keep quiet about it. I am sickened by what is happening to these two men and to the violence our Border Patrol is expected to endure with no support or salvation from DC politicians, who are so busy wording cowardly "thoughts" about our military. They are too busy trying to manipulate getting re-elected to do their jobs. We need to do a massive House and Senate cleaning in the next elections. It is all quite disgusting and cowardly. Everyone involved from the drug smuggler all the way up to the president (including Johnny Sutton) will lose big time. Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean that they be released from prison pending appeals in their convictions for shooting a drug-smuggling suspect. Ramos, 37, and Compean, 28, were sentenced to 11- and 12-year prison terms for shooting Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila in the buttocks as he fled near Fabens, Texas, back into Mexico after abandoning 743 pounds of marijuana," the Washington Times reports. "Several members of Congress, led by Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, California Republican, have called for President Bush to pardon the agents. Rep. Duncan Hunter, California Republican, said the assault on Ramos 'clearly demonstrates' the severe risk involved with incorporating Border Patrol agents into general prison populations."
