Is Georgia Police Chief a Don Quixote for Reporting Illegal Aliens?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution profiles the police chief of Roswell for his persistent
effort to report to the federal immigration authorities suspected illegal aliens in custody. Out of thousands of prisoners reported to the INS and now ICE over several years, only three of them have been taken into custody by federal immigration agents. Nevertheless, Chief Edwin Williams says he will persist, because it is his job to enforce the law.
