Border Patrol Officer Wounded in Texas


Providing evidence again that our Border Patrol officers are literally putting their lives on the line as they work to control our nation’s borders, a BP agent in Texas who tried to arrest a supposed drug smuggler entering illegally from Mexico was shot at and wounded.

[FAIR comment: This border violence is the environment in which BP agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean were operating when they tried to apprehend a drug smuggler and wounded him as he fled back into Mexico. We continue to see injustice in the treatment of these two agents as if they had acted to deliberately wound an innocent civilian who had accidentally strayed across the border.]
