Another Local Ordinance to Discourage Illegal Aliens Adopted in Pennsylvania
By a unanimous vote the Bridgeport (Pa.) Borough Council adopted an ordinance
(the Illegal Immigration Relief Act) that is designed to deter landlords from renting to illegal aliens. The Bridgeport Council was undeterred by the fact that Pennsylvania’s chapter of the ACLU has filed a lawsuit against a similar measure pioneered by the city of Hazleton.
