Illegal Aliens Fired Leads to Americans Hired in Georgia Bust The AP has a story about a recent bust at a poultry plant in Georgia that The AP story notes that American workers are now being hired to replace the illegal aliens. "The poultry plant has limped along with half its normal workforce. Crider increased its starting wages by $1 an hour to help recruit new workers. Stacie Bell, 23, started work canning chicken at Crider a week ago. She said the pay, $7.75 an hour, led her to leave her $5.60-an-hour job as a Wal-Mart cashier in nearby Statesboro. Still, Bell said she felt bad about the raids. 'If they knew eventually that they were going to have to do that, they should have never let them come over here,' she said." Comments
This just proves the point in black and white... The illegals are gone (boo hoo) so they raised the wages by a dollar to attract new workers... All this b.s. you hear that illegals don`t depress wages is bunk, and this proves it... If there were raids like this all over the country, the illegals would be gone, the greedy businesses would raise wages to attract American workers, and Americans would be working again, problem solved... The poultry runs around in circles flutterring their wings and are difficult to corner and catch. It reminds me of trying to enforce the laws against illegal poultry employers, they flutter around indignantly and squawking, flaunting their law-breaking. I must admit ,however, that the magnets are working just fine. And for those who were reminded of the gestopo raids in Germany, those were people who lived there who were taken away. A poultry Co. caught hiring illegal aliens and paying them low wages, forced to up their wage scale in order to induce Americans to apply for work. This points out the fact this company's wage scale was below a living wage in order to make higher profits. The owners of this Co.should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I have nothing but disgust for those bleeding heart Americans who sided with the illegal aliens. Not once did I read about them feeling sorry for the American workers and their children. A few years ago at this chicken processing plant, some 277 people tested positive for this third world disease. That is the entire Crider Chicken workforce and about 1/4th of the town's entire population. I have a hard time imagining that a few people around Stillmore not pleased to see the crimmigrants go and take their third world diseases with them. Illegals, who were working at a poultry plant in 'Nowhere' Georgia, were rounded up, and later released. What was the point? These illegals will only flee the area and, under a new alias, work elsewhere. The only way to effectively combat this mess is to get a border fence erected ASAP. Once that is done, we can then systematically begin the deportation of ALL illegals in this country. It will not be an easy process. However, it must be done. Please remember one thing: Illegals, no matter how degenerate most of the are, are not the root cause of this illegal immigration tsunami. They are only opportunists. Sometimes, when I am in deep thought, I can't help but think of them as parasites attracted to an ever weakening host organism. Anyway, i work for the border patrol, so if anyone wants to know whats really going on with immigration, ask? And about the catch and release. The company is not being prosecuted and many of the illegals are given court dates and released. Of course the illegals will flee to another part of the U.S. and get another job with another set of phony documents and the company will hire more illegal aliens when this blows over. I hope I am wrong. But does anybody think so? When we start putting employers in jail for hiring illegals is when we start making progress on this problem.
