Malkin: The Religious Worker Visa Scam Continues


"One of the visa programs I singled out in Invasion in 2002 as ripe for exploitation by terrorists and in need of immediate reform was the religious worker visa program. Or as I like to call it: The 'Radical Muslim Cleric Importation Plan.' Now comes word via Newsbeat1 that the Department of Homeland Security is finally waking up to the problem," says Michelle Malkin. The Boston Globe story Malkin links to says in part, "The probe found numerous instances in which groups in the United States falsely claimed to be churches, and visa applicants lied about their religious vocations in order to get into the country . More than a third of the visas examined by investigators were based on fraudulent information. A report on the investigation, obtained by the Globe, said that instances of fraud were particularly high among applicants from predominantly Muslim countries, and the report raised concerns about potential terrorism risks."
