Fox News' Reconquista Reporter Caught on Tape

"Yesterday at Hot Air, we linked the incredible audio of an interview by KFI'S John and Ken with Tony Valdez at the illegal alien protest in Los Angeles. Valdez rants about 1846, invokes 'manifest destiny' as a rationale for supporting the sabotage of our immigration laws, recycles the 'We didn’t cross the borders' nonsense, inveighs against the war in Iraq, and exclaims: 'You took this country. You killed people in order to take this country for yourselves.' Who is Valdez? A MecHa leader? An ANSWR radical? A La Raza official? No. He's a local FOX reporter at KTTV-LA," says Michelle Malkin.

But if he waves an American flag. . .

Let's check back with this reporter after the November elections. I suspect that American taxpayers are going to vote out those politicians that are pimping and pandering to "ILLEGAL" aliens. People in Arizona are feed up with McCain. Just the other day I watched Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy whore themselves to "ILLEGAL" aliens on Capital Mall. These career politicians just don't get it. They will in November....

...Waves an American flag and he and others continue to live here and enjoy the freedoms and opportunities they can't get in their own countries.
In fact, many would be punished for speaking out negatively. Too bad we don't do the same.
This is one thing that really angers me about foreigners. Take, take, take but criticize and criticize.
As for 1846 or the Mexico of old, GET OVER IT!
Santa Ana lost the country and that's it. End of story. Mexicans and illegals didn't build this country or make it what it is today, so stick it! This country belongs to Americans.

You have to love these types of conflicted people. In Ole Mejico Mr. Valdez would maybe own a burro or two, and he knows it. If California belonged to Mexico, Mr. Valdez would leave and try to become a reporter somewhere in the Estados Unidos. What a clown. But indicative of the mentality and disrespect for the U. S. of many Mexican people I have personally known. And I will also say, sincerely, I have met many Mexican people who are his exact opposite. wow! The human condition.

Posted by: Bobby on May 3, 2006 04:31 PM

I do believe US should provide a special legal shelter for all “undocumented” Mexican brothers in our country and encourage further Mexican invasion under one simple condition: US will unconditionally annex a proportionate territory from Mexico. There are estimated 11 mil Mexicans living in US today. That captures approximately 10 % of current Mexican population, thus US should make first steps in annexing 10 % of the Mexican territory immediately. As Mexicans move north, their northern border moves south.
Well, someone may argue that with this measure we might end up sharing our country completely with all Mexicans. That is correct; however, if US Senate proposed bill with amnesty provisions would pass, we will eventually end up having all Mexicans here anyway, but without beautiful beaches of Baja California. On the side note, Tijuana is long overdue on a little face lift and San Diego real estate needs some additional elbow room for growth. Did I mention that the language promoted on the newly acquired territory would be English? In order to please absolutely everyone, I would not mind if the new 51st state of the Union would be named “Aztlan”.
Good Day!

Well, here is what we have to do. If Fox News 11 refuses to address this issue...(the only addressing that is acceptable is a firing) we should watch the news and find out who advertizes with the Channel 11 Fox News. After the list is compiled....some one post it...and lets have the sponsers get an earful from their American Citizens customers...if that still matters to them. ...If an earful doesn't work...boycott the products. We have to start address The big business issue...

Posted by: MIke on May 3, 2006 04:47 PM

So this gentleman has completely forgotten that Mexico invited American citizens to move to the SW territories, that the US helped Mexico defeat several dictators and that in fighting against Santa Ana and being victorious at the Alamo, in signing the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and creating sovereign borders for 3 countries (since Texas was its own country for about 9 years), that we have the right to stop people from entering this country illegally? What kind of an idiot is he?
Oh, that's right, he's a member of the media!

I'd like to stereotype the entire Mexican population of the U.S. as sympathizers. ALSO, Including, George Bush, John McCain, Ted Kennedy, and the idiots in the Senate I won't notice by name. Someday the LaRaza broadcasts will be heard by the American people and they will realize that this is what ALL the Illegals believe, and that we are in a fight for our own EXISTENCE. NOT, LANDSCAPING OR LAWN MOWING JOBS!!!!! MANY, are here to TAKE America BACK. MANY are armed, and intend to be dangerous. IF you live in an area heavily populated by Illegals, you know this is true. If you don't yet, YOU WILL.

Posted by: Hombre on May 3, 2006 05:20 PM

I was watching Bill O’Reilly, on Fox news yesterday, and one of his guests (a Democratic strategist) was asked about why the media was so biased towards the illegals. He said that the networks are doing this because of their OWN economic incentive. They want a piece of the Spanish language market for themselves. It’s all about the money.

Posted by: Gail Roma on May 3, 2006 05:28 PM

Gail, you are so right when you state it is all about the money with the media, too. The trick would be for everyone to turn off their televisions and radio programs that are pushing the Open Borders agenda and find ways to be proactive in their communities. I would like to see citizens protest in front of Mexican consulates in their cities and in front of businesses that hire illegals. Join the Minuteman Project if there is one in your state. The more we do the more they will have to tell another side of the story. I have noticed that now all stations, whether on TV or the radio, appear to call illegals undocumented, except Lou Dobbs and a couple of others. Political correctness is killing the integrity of our country and we are starting to look as corrupt as the Third World banana republics these people come from. When we have a former Mexican citizen and part of the administration of Vincente Fox, now being a US citizen touting the Mexican agenda on every show that wants to bend the truth, then we are in trouble. He wears that very large moustache to cover how he is capable of speaking out of both sides of his lying mouth. How in the hell did he get to be a US citizen and why is he allowed to tout the agenda of Mexico if he is a US citizen? The Naturalization Oath of Allegiance to the USA is: "I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelty to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or a citizen: that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of American against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the armed forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of EVASION; so help me God." Obviously, the marchers, who carried the flags of other nations while simultaneously demanding US citizenship even though they are international criminals, could not morally take this vow. Shame on those who believe they would. Shame on the media for their ultra liberal slant of what should just be presented as what is happening. I am sick and tired of the human interest stories of why they are coming here. Who cares anymore and who in the world would even believe these stories to be the truth anymore? I don't and after 16+ years of dealing with this issue, all I can say is every single illegal alien I have ever met or had to deal with is not a good person. They all have some kind of scam or illegal activitity going on to ensure they remain in this country. They flee corruption only to continue it on our borders and they will never be great citizens no matter how the media slants the news. Those who are violating their oaths and going against what they voluntarily swore not to do, need to be reminded they are in violation of their agreement to become US citizens by the naturalization process and deported immediately. The first to go would be the pal of Vincente Fox, whose name my brain refuses to remember. Why in the world is any media source listening to someone who is openly violating the oath they swore to and why is the opinion of this traitor even given credence by the media? I wonder, but it definitely has something to do with all bucks and no whammys!

Laughing out loud George. I don’t understand all of this guilt tripping about the Mexican War of 1846. They attacked us. They lost. It cost them some territory. It was too much for them anyway. They are attacking us again. I think it’s high time we bobbed off another chunk.

I agree that we should relieve them of the Baja peninsula. I have a further refinement. Instead of making them the 51st state, we should divide it up into lots and give all of our illegal aliens one if they will move there. They will be out of our hair and they can call it whatever they want.

Posted by: Gail Roma on May 3, 2006 07:24 PM

Here is a suggestion for the Stein report: Why don’t you post some translations of these La Raza radio broadcasts. I haven’t heard them and don’t speak Spanish anyway. I’m sure a lot of people might be VERY interested in this. It could be great ammunition.

The American man when faceing an oppressor will stand his ground and fight. Thus we have this great nation and we are still fighting for it today. The Mexican man when faced with oppression prefers to run. The Mexican man has abandoned his duty to bring freedom to his own country. The Mexican man scurryes across the border to suckel at the breast of liberty, he enjoys the hard won fruits of freedom but has no idea of what cost others paid for these blessings. The best thing we can do for these cowards is to take them by the nap of their neck and return them to their own country, give them a written history of the United States and tell them to read it. From there they will figure out what they need to do and hopfully will find the courage to do it. To continue to allow the Mexican man to nurse is not good for him or us. A legacy of shame is not something a man should leave to his children and grand children.
Nor should we allow such men to to populate this land.

"The Mexican man has abandoned his duty to bring freedom to his own country."

Mike, you raise a great issue. Recently, someone told me these are just the people we want in the country because they are willing to "brave the desert." But that's false. We are actually selecting people who will run from problems rather than stay and fight for a better nation, and also are selecting lawbreaking combined with aggression. Open borders illegals are not even asking questions such as: how do I help African-American construction workers get back to work at their former wages? They don't ask because they don't care. It's all about "us, us, us."

Posted by: FCannon on May 4, 2006 12:00 PM

Exactly right...they should overthrow their oppresive, corrupt government and dedicate themselves to bringing a more capitalistic society into their own country. An American, who lived in Mexico for many years said on the radio yesterday that Mexico does everything on a cash basis, because they are afraid to take a risk on anything and allowing their people to flood our country and send home billions only reinforces the ability of the corrupt government to get rich off the backs of its own people...

They don't want the people to have anything for themselves so they restrict access to mortgages, credit and loans so they can basically hold them hostage...

The millions who have flooded this country would have everything available to them, legally, in their own country, healthcare, education, jobs, if all they would do is use the smarts they have to get rid of the elitists in government.

I simply have to gasp at the utter stupidity of their claim that we took "their" land. "Their" land? Excuse me, but if we want to look just a wee bit deeper into this, we find that the Mexicans "took" the land of my father's people--Native Americans! And, frankly, if we are going to return the land to any owner before us, I would rather--MUCH rather--return it to the Native Americans!

Does this man not know history? We have an old saying we quote a great deal in our family: "People who live in glass houses don't throw stones." Mexicans certainly live in the proverbial "glass house" on this issue. "Their land", indeed! Any Mexican foolish enough to bring this up in any debate is definitely begging for a stone to bring down the glass house in which he/she lives. Indulging in this foolish argument only provides more rope by which they may be hanged. Ha!

Yet another stupid argument or item of discussion so often brought forward by these so poorly-educated individuals is that Mexico was against slavery--while we, the evil Anglos--were "for" it. This ignores the fact that so very many of us were completely against it. It also very conveniently ignores the fact that Mexico did, indeed, have slaves. They were called "peones" and lived exactly as did surfs on the feudal estates in Europe during the Dark and Middle Ages. A rose by any other name smells just as sweet--and a slave by any other name is still--a SLAVE. And I can tell you from firsthand experience exactly what the white/Mestizo elites think of these "peones" who are usually mostly of "indio" blood: they are children of some lesser god.

How brave Mr. Valdez is as he sits firmly on the sytem and rights established by Anglo-Saxons! (And again, I am Irish-Native American, not Anglo.) He should be grateful that the US won and took over the lands--all that he has and now is springs from the blessings and opportunities brought by that take-over. Instead, we see this illogical and bitter man accuse--and bite the hand that has fed him.

George:

I like your idea.

I say trade Los Angeles for Baja California.

Let me get the heck out of LA first though!

Posted by: lance sjogren on May 5, 2006 12:01 AM

Ah, I see Gail beat me to the idea about Baja.

But don't give Baja to the illegals, let American refugees from California settle there.

The Mexican residents of Baja can stay, though.

Mike:

I think that would be too hard on Tony to have him fired.

After all, most TV reporters are clowns.

Posted by: lance sjogren on May 5, 2006 12:05 AM

it was spain who owned the US sw and not mexico. spain owned it for over 200yr. it was mexico who stole the land from spain in 1824 the mexican revolution and lives were lost over it thanks to mexico. proof the land was spains is the 1818-1819 adams-onnis treaty. it was mexico who sold land to the US the 1853 gadsen treaty.

it seems mexico and valez need to do their homework.
