Outrage Spreads Over Flag Incident; Illegal Students Fly Mexican Emblem at U.S. School "Whittier area students from Pioneer, California and Whittier high schools walked out of classes to protest the proposed Comments
The article quotes: "We can't sit by and do nothing," said Pioneer High sophomore Matthew Gonzales, 15. "We're showing that we'll never forget what our ancestors did. If it weren't for immigrants, these cities wouldn't be what they are today." I have to give it to him there! These cities certainly would NOT be in the difficult position they are often in today without all these illegal immigrants. And what has nearly every student said? 'My parents brought me to this country so that I could get a good education.' That points to one of the key tools in fighting illegal immigration: banning the children of illegals from attending public schools. Currently federal law REQUIRES it, and the open borders fanatics have claimed that it would be "mean-spirited" to kick these children out. Mean-spiritedness isn't the goal. Keeping illegals out is. One of the best ways to do that - to encourage them to self deport - would be to deny them a publicly funded education. I want to know what law enforcement or a real American did to reverse this atrocious situation. The school administration should be severly admonished for allowing this to happen. The students involved should be permanently suspended; but that would mean the school would not get the $$$$$ for them. I, for one, would like to see them kick out all the illegal students and get money for all the ones they eliminate from the student body instead of getting paid for the overall number of butts in seats. It is always the same apathetic pattern over and over again, because the graph of wealth illusion on above link has not peaked yet. This apathetic malaise is a debt-induced wealth illusion, and when it finally peaks, then we are going to see a brutal backlash. One day, probably sometime in 2009 or 2010, Americans will wake up in poverty, they will be sharing it with untold millions of low-education hispanics from the waves of illegal immigrations and amnesties of yore. Americans who have a half a brain are loading up on instrinsic assets like gold, and prepareing to escape to ex-urban or overseas nirvanas when the sh$$ hits the fan. I suppose some activists are fighting and hoping to stop this and save our country. I am praying, but my logic says that self-sustaining snowball trends run their course. You can't dump on the American flag and expect Americans to stand for it, at least 20 years ago you couldn't. Now with the PC clowns in charge who knows. This does point out a very strong point though, no matter where they are made American citizens or not they will always consider themselves Mexican citizens first. They say there is no difference between them and immigratants who came here over the last 100 years. On that point they are very very wrong. When immigratants came here to become citizens they pledged themselves to the Untied States of American and did so with pride. The only pride I can when they protest is their so-called pride for Mexico, the country that treats them so badly that they are "forced" to move to the US. By the way I was in a few protest when I was in high school and I know for a fact probably about 50% of protestors only protested so they could get out of class. They could have cared less about the protest itself. I would also ask where they are getting their direction from. This morning I read in my newspaper that NumbersUSA is reporting that these marches and demonstrations were enough to galvanize 500,000 people to sign up for their email/fax system. We need to continue to encourage any and all friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family members to get involved with FAIR and NumbersUSA. If we can keep the pressure on the House of Rep. to reject any type of shamnesty the Senate quislings come up with, then the ball will be in our court and we will have to band together in our communities and DEMAND enforcement of our immigration laws in our towns, cities, counties, and states. My fellow military members are fighting to secure borders in other countries and our politicians are allowing our borders to be wide open. This flag deal really is the final straw as far as I'm concerned. I have not written you before about illegal immigration but I fail to see how you, as a politician "representing" the AMERICAN citizens can side with illegal immigrants over the citizens who voted you into office - and can vote you out, also. The recent marches in various cities this past weekend should show you how un-American these immigrants want to be. They displayed not the American flag but the Mexican flag mostly. I have forgotten what her sign said but it mentioned something about this land being a part of Texas or the USA--nothing unkind, etc. Twice (I believe I have this right) they ran up from behind her and pushed her. Then they grabbed her sign and ran away with it while a policeman tried to get it back for her. (She says the police did, in fact, do a great job of protecting her--she shuddered to think what would have happened if they had NOT been there.) They then pelted her with rocks, one of which left a large bruise. As I have said before, one of the major problems with these illegals coming from this particular country of origin (Mexico) in such large masses is that they do not now know how to participate in a democracy and they do not quickly (if ever) internalize our values--such as respecting the rights of others to counterprotest and/or speak. Posted by: J on March 29, 2006 03:13 PM i am fed up with our schools having to teach all the illeagals. i live in a suburb by chicago ( motorola head qtrs) and the schools are more worried about teaching non english than americans. my son in the 3rd grade was having problems reading and when i went to the school they said that they could do nothing.but i know a family of hispanic descent that never spoke english at home and now get special treatment. they go to the special school where english is of no importance, get picked up by the bus (where i have to pay 600 bucks for my kid to ride) and learn about there spanish heritage. i think that the moronik supremeist court should be over turned that every one is to get a FREE education legal or not. they should have to come up with the money to educate jose.we waste money trying to teach english to those who wont speak it. I'm always proud to see him and his premier Troop of fine, young men post the "colors", recite the pledge, the Scout Oath, etc. and really learn to be good citizens of this nation. My son was at the National Scout JAmboree last summer and was so proud and excited to see our President visit a sea of 40,000 Boy Scouts - proud to be Americans! As a hispanic American, I do not agree with illegals running around demanding things, or being in this country illegally. My mother and father work very hard, we are citizens, speak only english, I went to college, etc. The stuff you hear in the media is alot of b.s.. In Arizona almost 50% of hispanics voted for prop 200 and majority don`t want drivers licenses for illegals, and other services as well. 43% of hispanic Americans voted for Bush. I saw this posted on another website but it is so very true: If we gave in and handed over Los Angeles and San Diego, along with other areas of the Southwest, to Mexico, they would become typical third world trash cities within one year and the Mexicans would be climbing over fences to get into the next U.S. cities to start the whole process over again. That means that they will trash and run down ANY territory they have and still come running to us demanding benefits meant for U.S. citizens. I also noticed they had signs saying things like: Are they trying to say that all of North America was populated by Mexicans before the Europeans got here? The company is run by INDIANS who here running their county on H1 Visas. I was fired when I called them on it! I learned to work and put myself through school performing jobs that "Americans Will Not Do". My first job was pulling weeds and shoveling snow for neighbors. I picked peaches during summer vacation. I cleaned houses while in college. This is how I learned the good work ethics that keep me employed today. Daily I have to fight for my tech job... competing with H1 Visa workers that companies like Microsoft, Qualcomm, etc., court our politicians to import for their exploitation. I cannot tell you how sad it has been to see my wages drastically drop so that they can make more money. I am no longer employed full time and have to claw and fight for scraps among contract works; many who are not even American citizens for the few jobs left! I do not have health insurance because I cannot afford it and I could not pay my car insurance this month so I cannot drive until I get the funds to do so... luckily I can walk to the grocery store and I do my work over the Internet. Not too long ago (oops, I guess it was) I worked at a fast food place in high school to earn money to take a spring break trip to Spain with my school. I worked as a "pepsi-challenge" girl during college summers. I'm now a legal professional. My siblings all worked in concession stands, fast food, etc. during high school and college summers to earn money for our pocket money, car insurance, etc. We weren't too proud to do those jobs. A family member who is now a commercial airline pilot use to bus tables at a local country club, he washed dishes at a local restaurant. Guess what? His son can't do those jobs in the summer because those establishments now exclusively hire illegal immigrants. From the media and even from first-hand accounts by people in, particularly, CA as to the recent demonstrations, it does look to be a concerted racist statement by Hispanics. That most originated in Mexico is just a statistic but a very important one, and all the flag issues only serve to enforce that it's a, literally, "Mexican/Hispanic racially motivated" invasion of the U.S. As it is now, all I read is that "Hispanics" and "latinos" are asserting rights for both or one or the other so it doesn't even appear so much an issue of immigration as it is some racial boil over by Hispanics. I often wonder what would be going on if all the "white people" were parading or all the "black people" were doing so, nationwide, protesting for "white (or 'black') rights" at the expense of everyone else. I do have a problem with people coming here illegally and being rewarded for breaking our laws. I am a single parent who struggles everyday to make ends meet.
