Phil Kent: Mexico's Manipulations and America's Immigration Crisis "Most Americans see first-hand the disastrous impact of illegal immigration on our wallets, wages and culture. The annual entry of more than Comments
Since the United States is about as big of a bananna republic as Mexico, why do we need borders? I guess my hope springs eternal, but let us not delude ourselves: we have just a few years left before we, too, are a Third World cesspool. It is time to pull out the few democratic stops left to us to reverse this atrocity. Posted by: jack white on March 28, 2006 02:54 PM Well said, Phil Kent, and sadly, so true. Posted by: Born American on March 28, 2006 03:36 PM It takes an historical retrospect in order to fully see the irony in Kent's arguement. #1 "Most Americans see first-hand the disastrous impact of illegal immigration on our wallets, wages and culture. The annual entry of more than 1 million illegal aliens from around the world, better than 30 percent of them Mexicans sneaking across our southern border." The same was said of White Americans in Mexico when massive numbers of illegal immigrants were flooding what is now known as California and Texas throught the 1830's and 1840's. #2 "Yet more Americans must understand that Mexico's government, far from being a friend, is actively working to subvert our country's laws and political institutions." And what was US Consul Larkin doing in California in the early 1840's, "negotiating" with Californios on behalf of President Polk who was all too eager for imperialist expansion? And what was Captain Fremont (later Colonel Fremont) doing in Sonoma County in 1846 when he staged the totally illegal and internationally insulting Bear Flag Revolt with his band of roughians? And what was Representative Slidell of Louisiana doing in Mexico in 1832 when he attempted to outright purchase California for 25 million dollars, New Mexico for 5 million dollars, and an extra 5 million to boot if Mexico would be willing to be "sensible" about the US takeover of Texas? Was all this not a foriegn goverment (United States) attempting to 'subvert [Mexico's] laws and political institutions' for its own interests? If you say no, then keep dreaming Snoozy. #3 "The Mexican government promotes reconquista in the Southwest." Now here's a truly puzzling syntactical arrangement of words. Let's see.... Hmmm....if the Mexican government is indeed promoting a 'reconquista,' then there must have been an original 'conquista' that they're reacting to, right? And if anyone knows the least bit of history concerning this original 'conquista' or conquest (ie, United States conquering Mexico), you'd also know that it was undertaken with the same malice and forethought that Kent now accuses Mexico of using against the US. Let me get this straight: is the logic underlying Kent's argument therefore we screwed over other governments with precisely the same methods but we are somehow absolved of all historical wrongdoing because we were the winners? Well, could it possibly be that it's now OUR turn to be an historical loser. That's hard medicine to swallow for those who are reacting to Mexican immigration with pure reactionary fervor. #4 "If our borders are not controlled and immigration law enforced, will we truly be a "United States" in another 10 years or a completely balkanized, multicultural society with English downgraded as the common tongue? This is conjecture.
What Kent knows, but is not saying in his argument, is that WHITE POPULATION NUMBERS are declining--not only nationally but wordwide as well. This is also happening in Australia, England, Germany, and China to a lesser extent, but in general worldwide where there are brown Latin American or Middle East or African populations from marginalized 3rd world countries exploding in numbers and crowding into ever-diminishing White areas. Look folks, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. Just go the Census 2000. From 1980 to 2000, the median age for Whites rose sharply from 30 to 39 years. In the same 20 year period, the median age for Latinos moved only slightly from 23 to 26.2. In 1980, the median average age range for White females was between 15 - 34 years. Today it is between 35 - 54. This trend is NOT reflected in Latina women who over the past 20 years have remained hugely representted in the age ranges between 0 (newborn) and 35. This is, I think the subtext or underlying concern (read 'fear') in Kent's argument (not to mention the readers on this site). It is racial displacement, not immigration. But as I said, these were also the very same concerns and fears of Tejanos and Californios over a century ago when the floodgates were opened to allow for Anglo-European immigration into the Wild West. Isn't if funny how history is cyclical in nature, repeating itself onto different cultural landscapes? Posted by: Juan Rodriguez on March 28, 2006 04:09 PM I just read where over a million people protested in France and it has had some effect, possibly, a delay of voting on the labor law. Posted by: Born American on March 28, 2006 06:24 PM Bush & the Republicans are obviously determined to sell off or give away any value that the country contains ... I voted for these guys because I thought they offered the best chance to strengthen and protect the economy and by extension, strengthen and protect my country. Boy, was I suckered. I feel just blown away ... the future looks bleak. Posted by: Dave in San Antonio, TX on March 28, 2006 06:44 PM What did then Illinois Congressman ABRAHAM LINCOLN say on the floor of the US House of Representatives regarding the US war against Mexico? http://www.members.tripod.com/medicolegal/lincolnvmexwar.htm Where did the CONCEPT of 'civil disobedience' come from? Do you know its orgins lie in this essay written by famed American writer, Henry David Thoreau ? Do you know he was JAILED for opposed the US war against Mexico? "On the Duty of Civil Disobedience" http://www.online-literature.com/thoreau/441/ Lets just say I agree with Abraham Lincoln and Henry David Thoreau characterization of the US war against Mexico. Thus, if you disagree, you can try and debunk Abraham Lincoln! What we saw last weekend in LA is but a HARBINGER! Great Fiery Jaguar Paw Posted by: Great Fiery Jaguar Paw on March 28, 2006 07:19 PM If a Growing # of scumbag mexicans HATE their Northern neighbor, they need to understand in NO uncertain terms; a growing # of their Northern neighbors HATE the mexicans with a more intense feeling than they are capable of. To HELL with them. Posted by: Macman on March 28, 2006 07:28 PM It's been proven and continues to be reaffirmed with ongoing discoveries that the original human populations in North, Central and then in South America (as humans migrated southward from the upper West and upper East of North America) were people from a combination of Northern European and Northern Asian origin. The first human population in South America, at the very most Southern point of that continent, were Australian Aborigines. The human migrations that follows (by many centuries), from Central and Southern Asia, became the people who today claim to be "Aztlan" and who appear to have been repeatedly pushed back into Central and upper South America by people from both the North and the South...even repeated attempts to infilrate and conquer existing human populations by these later arrivees was resisted to the point of death and destruction for both. From archaeological remains, we know that there were people in North America (on both Coasts) that predate by a long, long time the later arrivees to Central America, who today are attempting to allege that the continents "belong to 'them'" and yet "them" is beyond the academic scope of most who today protest and decry "Anglo Saxons" and whatever else. Our archaeological record contains human skeletal remains in the Yukon (of people from Northern European and Northern Asian DNA), remains in what is today Pennsylvania (of people from Northern European DNA), human skeletal remains in what is today Florda (some from Northern European DNA and some from a combination of those with those who came down from the Yukon area) and so much more. The evidence has substantiated that human migrations were underway long before later migrations gave rise to today's "Aztlan" claims and instead, we have people today, largely from Central America, who seem impervious to any scientific abilities and yet assert ownership of continents based upon force of fantasy and ego-insistence. It also has created the racist sentiments that motivate that group of people, today's Hispanic, for lack of a better word for it, alleging many "superior" qualities over other races (including that "the land belongs to us" nonsense which makes no sense when the archaeological record is acknowledged, if for that reason alone). It is that characteristic that is the failure on racial terms and the presumption by many today that there is some imperitive for claiming the overwhelming of other human beings of other racial types is mere racist mania. Most of the rest of us haven't seen anything superior in the last few days, no more than we have in the last several decades. It was almost certainly this same way in times past, with people seeing their homes and cultures attempted to be supplanted and destroyed by people from Central America, feigning friendship but intending harms, and what has been displayed in the past few days alone defines to my view that what we see today is some sort of cultural and racist mania. It's a failing characteristic. It has been in human history past and it will be in times present and future. I agree that the intentions have been to undermine and replace existing cultures. But, in fact, the "white man" (and white woman) were in the Americas long before "Aztlan" was even a gleem in an Asian's eye. Americans have welcomed people from all over the globe for a long time, without evaluation on racial type per se, but upon behavior and intent. What is occuring is that people with racial intentions (theirs, of the Central American and South American kind, of later racial types than original human migrations to those areas) assume superior ownership and it's changing the U.S. from a nation of laws and behavior to a nation of dominance based upon a general "brown" preference, just because. If that's not racist, I don't know what is. Be careful what you intend. Posted by: -S- on March 28, 2006 08:18 PM War is near, very near. Posted by: David on March 28, 2006 08:23 PM Lou Dobbs has this on his web site, and I thought the words were timely indeed. They are the words of Theodore Roosevelt in a letter to the American Defense Society written in 1919--ten years after his Presidency. "In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in fact an American and nothing but an American....There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile....We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people." Posted by: jaded on March 29, 2006 02:01 AM It is time for the American people to wake up. We tried to be good neighbors to the Mexicans but they are not interested in doing anything but assimilating American dollars into Mexico. They are not interest in being Americans just in being wealthier Mexicans. They come here and DO NOT pay taxes on their earnings. Almost all claim married 9 under someone elses Social Security number. They then go out and get welfare under a different identification and healthcare under medicare or indigent care. These all cost the real American citizens a fortune in taxes. These scumbags need to come here legally so that they are held to the same standards as the citizens are. If they are here illegally it is a crime just not currently enforced, if they steal another's identity it is identity theft a crime, if they get federal or state assistance in the name of another it is fraud. They further the drugs coming into this country and the violence crime in this country. They increase in insurance premiums for auto, homeowners, medical insurance through abuse of they system, indigent care, increase burden on school systems, and stolen cars they get sold in Mexico. They increase the tax burden of income taxes and property taxes to pay for their use of the systems in this county. And I ask what does it cost them...nothing. Absolutely nothing. They get it for free and that is what they are pissed off about. This new law might disrupt the flow of people into this country sure...but we will always keep allowing them to come here through legal methods. What this law will do is even the playing field and make them have to pay for their slice of the American dream. They will have to earn it and most of them are unwilling to do so. They want it for nothing and on the backs of whitey. See they feel that we took their land but there were few Mexicans and a lot more Indians in that land. Mexican Pride is the feeling they get from knowing that they are screwing others over and are getting away with it. If there was any real Mexican Pride they would be fixing their own country and getting rid of their political corruption and violence as we Americans now must do by kicking our politicians in the ass and sending the ILLEGAL Mexicans home for good. Posted by: Dave on March 29, 2006 12:35 PM As a silent observer on the perimeter of LA MARCHA GRAN last Saturday, I saw something that far transcended a mob of immigrants (legal and illegal) flexing their muscles and looking for recognition of their inalienable rights. Scattered amongst the usual suspects...nice little families holding their children in their arms, hard working Mexicans who just came here to do jobs Americans won't do, etc., etc., there were quite a few Palestinian-like terrorists. They covered the lower part of their faces with the mexican flag and, in many cases, the mexican flag covered their entire head so that all you could see was their eyes. It was just like all the news clips we see night after night from Israel, Iraq, etc. Many wore the bandanas which are MS13 gang symbols. The placards they carried were filled with unthinkable hate speech. You could cut through the hostility in the air with a machete. I truly think there is a very thin line between cultures of the Latin American/Mexican revolutionaries (i.e. Che Guevara), the La Raza folks, etc., and the terrorist groups in the Middle East. They all have one thing in common...their land was STOLEN from them. The mantra of the Reconquistas is: "This is our land". We even heard the hooligan school kids repeating it over and over. We are the enemy! It is akin to the Islamic madrasas who teach every child to hate the Americans and Jews. As long as the reconquistas get their way with us, the revolution will remain dormant; however, if by some strange twist of fate, the powers that be in Washington do not grant amnesty, there will be blood in the streets. The first rule of warfare is to know thy enemy. After the events of the past week, can there be any doubt as to who the enemy is? I don't think so!
