FAIR and Minutemen Team Up for Save the American Worker Week FAIR and the Minuteman Project along with talk radio Comments
"FAIR and Minutemen Team Up"...Glory Hallellu! That my friends is a match made in heaven! Best of luck to one and all! Here is a little link related that I found over the wkend-give it a peek! http://www.borderfilmproject.com/ Posted by: FornaxUltor on March 20, 2006 11:54 AM This partnership between FAIR and the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps is great, and timely. Not sure whether my elected representatives will, or can listen. You see, I live in IL, the home of the outrageous, egregious 100,000 illegal-immigrant march to infamy! Both my senators are traitors to the cause, both shamelessly pandering to the vote-bank that they hope will be theirs. Barack OBama is African-American, and he pays scant attention to the rapid irrelevance of the African-American agenda in this country. Black leaders like OBama are failing the community at this crucial demographic, economic, and political juncture. Illegal immigration disproportionately affects Blacks and poor Americans. At this rate, Black issues and the hard-word rewards of the civil rights era will be forever lost on the victims of that era. The new beneficiaries are the law-breaking, non-English speaking, low-wage tsunami that are illegal immigrants. And about Dick Durbin, the less said the better. He is worried about the political sound bites coming out of the ports scandal (a minute non-event compared to the monumental parody that is our southern border with Mexico). Durbin's neglect of the pernicious issue of illegal immigration, as evidenced by entire suburbs of Chicago turning gangland, is almost seditious. He is incorrigible. God Bless Illionois, and God Bless my dear America. Let's wake up from our slumber my dear fellow Americans, and let the Washington Mafia know that the country cannot brook this invasion. Posted by: Venkat on March 20, 2006 12:58 PM Thank God for the Minutemen and FAIR. Now, let's all do our part by sending those postcards and doing as much as we can to let our government and the world know we mean business. Posted by: Born American on March 20, 2006 03:26 PM Let's give it our best shot. But we know the ruling class is not going to stop trying, until they get what they want. I finally had an amazing idea come to me. I now have a SOLUTION which will give the ruling class what it wants, and give us what we want. If we can just get my idea to both (pro and anti) groups in Conpress, then I think it is a slam dunk! But in the meantime (until I get permission to post my proposal here at SteinReport), please do our best to let Senators know that it won't be easy for them to get amnesty we don't want. That way, when they see my proposal, they will salivate, because it makes it really easy to get what they want, while also giving us what we want, while also fixing the whole retirement entitlements problem, while also putting $260,000 in each of our pockets next year in form of a tax rebate. Stay tuned...! Posted by: Shelby Moore on March 20, 2006 11:53 PM We can't wait shelby! I have lost all faith that my representatives even read their mail...I get canned responses advocating the very things I am railing against... No explanations as to why they have that stance, to counter my anger, just thanks for my support...LOL Posted by: takn on March 21, 2006 11:05 AM Takn, I am getting the same kind of responses (except when I call) and I just shred them now--without reading them. The "nobility" frankly does not care what we think--as long as they get to remain where they are. This is why I personally have made up my mind to deliberately vote AGAINST every single one, Republican or not, who aligns themselves with guestworker/amnesty--no matter what other "values" they espouse. As long as they can wave "the bloody flag of abortion" or "the ragged flag of fiscal conservatism" ("ragged" because it has been ripped over and over), they hope to remain in office despite what they do about this nightmare of illegal immigration. They think they will manage to escape our wrath by submerging themselves in these other issues--which will effectively have no meaning if the country as we know it ceases to exist. Still, (and I know you all feel this way, too) this is what I can do at this level right now (letter-writing, faxing, etc.) and this is what I will continue to do. I confess, however, that I am very down about it--and I look forward to seeing/hearing whatever it is that our friend Shelby has to offer! Posted by: J on March 21, 2006 11:49 AM
I am hoping that it will gain some traction is helping to inform some who are just beginning to get involved in this issue what they need to know to be informed activists. I also have a few other goals, one of which is to spread a broader awareness of just how insane and radical bills like McCain Kennedy truly are. I don't harbor any illusions that a book by an obscure poliltical junkie like me is liable to get a lot of attention, but it seemed like there was a need for such a book so I took a crack at it. My wildest dream is that some of the members of Congress will read it, to the point where it will have some impact on political reputations. Although I blast Bush to high heaven in it, there is hardly a need to cut him down a notch because he's doing such a good job of self-destruction by himself. But the arrogant bastards in the Senate really need a good spanking. My chapter: "The U.S. Senate: A Culture of Ignorance" is my attempt toward that goal.
But, if even a few people around the country who are less immersed in immigration reform happen to read it and become more informed and involved, well then that would not be a bad result for someone like me who is simply one of ten thousands of activists trying to make whatever small contribution we can to fixing this disaster. Posted by: lance_sjogren on March 21, 2006 03:30 PM Lance: There are three reasons I will buy your book: First, I have come to know and respect you greatly through your posts! The other two are due to these quotes in your post above: "Although I blast Bush to high heaven in it, there is hardly a need to cut him down a notch because he's doing such a good job of self-destruction by himself." (Ahh--an excellent second reason to buy it!) "But the arrogant bastards in the Senate really need a good spanking." (The third reason!) I am truly looking forward to it--and you are so right about bush's self-destruction. If it weren't for bad decisions/policies, he would have none at all. Posted by: J on March 21, 2006 05:52 PM The problem is lance_sjogren on March 21 the american mainstream press is for more illegal's. We can't get the message out to the "asleep at the wheel" American public ------------ Posted by: guy-rhonda on March 21, 2006 08:22 PM Lance, as an author, aren't you given a gratis number of copies of your book for personal use? It might do the cause well for you to send some of those copies to prominent members of Congress yourself...or someone like Lou Dobbs and other media reps who might actually give you a spot to not only plug your book but further the cause... Good luck with the book, I will look for it in my area. Posted by: takn on March 22, 2006 10:12 AM guy-rhonda: You hit the nail on the head.
I think it could be a snowball type thing. If we could get a few respected mainstream journalists to recognize that "the emperor has no clothes" and to write opinion pieces to that effect, that could free up other journalists to feel they can reach their own conclusions rather than feeling obligated to follow the open borders herd over the cliff. Posted by: lance_sjogren on March 22, 2006 11:20 AM in case you haven't already visited this website i suggest you do. this is what illegal immigration is really all about... Posted by: ty on March 22, 2006 01:17 PM I faxed our numerous Illinois traitors this week as well as the big McTraitor himself. This is absolutely the most inane sitiuation I have ever experienced! We have illegal mexicans and OTM's streaming across our borders, spitting in our faces, flipping off every American law and lawmaker, selling drugs to our kids, killing our citizens (etc), YET we have elected representatives fighting as hard as they can AGAINST the U.S. citizen and FOR the ILLEGAL foreigners who continually spit in our faces (figuratively and literally if you have ever lived by one)? What the #@&$ ! Has anyone else ever noticed or pointed out to the generally blind public, the fact that we have ILLEGAL criminals marching in OUR streets demanding amnesty for their blatant criminal acts BUT NOT ONE protest against the country or countries that drove them into poverty and drove them out?? Are our lawmakers SO STUPID as to not GET THIS?? We are their CHUMPS! These 4th grade educated mules are actually smarter than our entire government (sans tancredo and crew)! Are we the only one's that notice this? Posted by: cicerores on March 22, 2006 01:44 PM Is it just me or does anyone else see the irony that within the McCain/Kennedy shamnesty, the amount of the "fine" ($2000) illegal aliens will have to pay for "citizenship" is the same amount as what coyotes charge? Two comments about this - the first is that I am discouraged and flabbergasted that this is all American citizenship is worth to our "leaders"; and the second, is that apparently the US Government is now in the coyote business. Think about it - how much of a sacrifice will it be to these lawbreakers, when they have already paid the same amount to crawl through the desert - now our leaders will take their money and escort them into the countryside. Makes me so sad and angry. Posted by: Pam Bird on March 22, 2006 05:03 PM takn: Thanks for your kind comments. I believe I will get 10 copies gratis- I plan to give the first one to Terry Anderson since I sent a copy of the cover to him a while back and his producer called back and said I can come on his show. I was going to buy some to give to some prominent people but it looks like the author price is higher than I thought- about 10 bucks a pop. I believe that even with obscure self-published books like this though that the publisher does give some copies away to people in the media. If I am able to get on a show like Dobbs that would be awesome since that would be exposure to a big audience, but I don't figure it is a likelihood. Posted by: lance_sjogren on March 22, 2006 05:09 PM As promised, here is my proposed "Win-Win Immigration Solution": http://www.coolpage.com/commentary/economic/shelby/Win-Win%20Immigration%20Solution.html I do believe this creates the necessary support from the apathetic voters, because who can refuse a big fat check from govt. I am hoping Karl will post this as it's own article on SteinReport, so that everyone can comment on my proposal. I expect there will be valid criticisms, but nevertheless I hope you appreciate the paradigm shift of it. Hope FAIRUS, Trancredo caucus, or MinuteMen will champion my proposal. Please inform them of my proposal. I don't have time to put more man-days into it. I don't even care if I get no recognition. I am just praying that we can avoid the impending economic collapse, with a change of direction such as this proposal of mine theoretically provides. Posted by: Shelby Moore on March 22, 2006 10:04 PM Good luck with the book... should be a good read. This whole mess saddens me about american politics and politicians... money. Posted by: Greg on March 23, 2006 03:47 AM I watched an interesting conference on CspanII about the displacement of Americans by immigrant labor...it proves that business and industry are courting foreign labor at the expense of Americans...while the govt. touts a 5% unemployment rate, the rate of unemployment for those Americans with only a high school diploma in industries not requiring a degree (which includes many union, manufacturing, service and construction jobs) is more like 11%! http://www.cis.org/articles/2006/back206.html We are being screwed at every level of employment! What the illegals aren't getting on the low end, people like Bill Gates are getting visas increased to import foreigners on the high end! Posted by: takn on March 23, 2006 12:23 PM Takn, FYI. The unions have screwed themselves AND the American worker even more so than a Democrat because they are 150% behind illegal aliens taking American jobs. Just note the AFL-CIO protests this weekend in Ca and elsewhere as well as their lobbying of our Washington traitors to grant immediate amnesty to ALL criminal aliens. I'm at the point where I am wishing for a year long pullback on new housing construction to starve these illegals out of our country or at the very least, out into the open. This problem isn't going to go away until the unions can't find work for them and they can't get under the table money as easily as they can now. We need Attrition on our side. I'm even willing to take a hit on the stockmarket if that's what it takes. For those of us who are surrounded by illegal mexicans and OTM's, it may even get to the point where we have to pack up and move to America? If we can find it? Posted by: cicerores on March 23, 2006 02:02 PM Hey Shelby: I saw your proposal. It's an interesting one.
Posted by: lance_sjogren on March 23, 2006 05:41 PM Keep the argument against mass immigration, both legal and illegal, and keep it on a economic basis. Focus on the idea that we American citizns and our ancestors built this country and that whatever economic opportunities or jobs are available here belong to us. We OWN this country, and the upper class and the megacorporations are conspiring with the politicians the media and the business lobbies to steal our economic opportunity by increasing the supply of labor faster than the demand for labor increases. This is theft Posted by: cryofan on March 23, 2006 08:40 PM lance_sjogren wrote: "Hey Shelby: I saw your proposal. It's an interesting one." Thanks. I suppose its too late to get a mention in your book. I hoping enough of you find the proposal interesting enough to call your congressperson and mention it to them. I am interested to hear what other commentators think (positive & negative)? Don't know how many commentators go back and read archives. So most may not be reading this. IMO, it seems the alternative to my proposal is either a massive amnesty or more likely a stalemate, which means ongoing accelerated illegal immigration. I suppose that is what Bush wants. So only my proposal has the potential to break the stalemate, and cause defections in the Senate, as well cause a massive popular clamoring for BIG FAT YEARLY check from rebates proposed. In essense, my proposal bribes business, politicians, and citizens-- all paid for by immigrants. But also opens the door for more "good" immigrants. Everyone wins. The economy wins. We all end up more prosperous, less crime, more integrated, etc. Economics (laws of nature) drives politics, not vice versa. Posted by: Shelby Moore on March 24, 2006 03:11 AM This just in. Please go to this link. it looks like a smear campaign of the minutemen by a publication of Morris Dees SPLC I havent had time to read it yet as its lunch and I'm flying about trying to get a bunch of other stuff done. http://www.splcenter.org/intel/intelreport/intrep.jsp Posted by: f on March 24, 2006 02:43 PM I would like to extend my appreciation and congratulations to the members of the Minutemen project. When I first heard of the idea I was already staunchly opposed to illegal immigration, but I thought that the idea of putting a bunch of guys on the border was silly and would be ineffective. It has been anything but. But not only have the Minutemen succeeded in reducing illegal immigration in the areas they monitor, and drawing huge amounts of media attention to their efforts, they have done so in a positive way. Despite politicians and the media referencing them as "border vigilantes" and worse, their comportment has, in every case, been stellar. They have weeded out any extremists from their midst; in their speech they have shown enormous integrity, as opposed to their business and leftist opponents; and their behavior has been a marked contrast to that of the coyotes, drug smugglers, and illegals along the border. There has been lots of violence along the border, but all of it has come from the other side. Minutemen, you've earned the gratitude of us all. Posted by: Craig on March 24, 2006 08:25 PM I live down here in Phoenix, Arizona. Yesterday illegal aliens and their supporters had a protest march against the HR-4437 bill and against all other up and coming bills to curb illegal immigration. This protest march numbered approximately 20,000. Being interviewed on a local news channel, a few exclaimed the usual, "You are racist." Being an american citizen of mexican descent I find all of this offensive in that we've allowed an illegal alien presence political clout. I am an American not a mexican citizen though I am by heritage mexican. I have family that fought in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Just like I have good friends who are of Irish, German and other european nationalities, this nation is a melting pot from various parts of the world. None the less, it is a nation founded upon morals, values with law and order. No nation can survive massive illegal immigration. None. I've got one sarcastic remark to make. "Thank you George W. Bush and senators for a job well done! You have proven once again that you are looking out for the best interest of the American people afterall." Posted by: Frank on March 25, 2006 09:28 AM The following are three examples following the logic (or lack thereof) of our illegal immigration policies and applying it to other aspects of society. Wet-Foot/Dry-Foot Following that logic, if a car thief is pulled over by the police during his getaway, he is arrested and sent to prison. Yet if the thief is able to make it to the chop shop before getting caught, no charges will be brought against him and he can even qualify for a tax deduction on the car! Day Laborer Sites Following that logic, if prostitution becomes a problem in Herndon, and ladies of the night flock to every major street corner, will the Mayor and town council build brothels to keep them off the streets? Amnesty/Guest Worker Programs Following that logic, if the Senate wants to get tough on the drug problem in America, all known drug dealers already operating in the US will be granted amnesty, and allowed to continue to sell drugs so long as they get a drug dealer ID card. But that’s it, we mean it! The next person that tries to sell drugs on our streets will be severely punished! Mass illegal immigration is clearly the #1 threat to the future of the United States. More than terrorism, national debt, or hurricanes combined. Opposing mass illegal immigration is not being racist or anti-immigrant. Leaders from both parties in the Senate (when not calling each other names) are debating how much amnesty to grant the 12 million illegal aliens in the country. All these proposed bills will not only legalize 12 million people who broke our laws, but incentivize millions more to come here in hopes of a better life. We cannot afford to assume this burden any longer. Mass illegal immigration has cost the US more in the past five years than the Iraq war. The US population will double this century, solely because of mass illegal immigration. We must demand from Congress enforcement first! No amnesty! No guest worker program! Please visit my blog for more information: Posted by: Virginia Patriot on March 25, 2006 12:46 PM FAIR American Worker Week????? What are you thinking??? This sounds just like the old Iron Curtain... STUPID AS HELL !!!! Shallow, False, ETC...... You just lost our Culture... Posted by: John on March 26, 2006 10:56 AM I've seen on t.v. countless protests against the bill that the House passed, which calls for stricter enforcement, etc. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that these hundreds of thousands of people are illegal immigrants or immigrant rights activists. Why don't we have protests against amnesty/guest workers? Is anything being orchestrated? Posted by: Elisa on March 26, 2006 04:15 PM |
