AZ House Rejects Bill to Punish "Sanctuary" Cities
"The Arizona House rejected a proposal today to cut off millions
of dollars in shared state revenue for municipalities and counties that discourage local police officers from inquiring about people's immigration status. Supporters say such 'sanctuary policies' are a barrier in getting local police agencies to confront illegal immigration," the AP reports. "They also say communities need to take on border-related problems because the federal government hasn't done an adequate job in enforcing immigration laws."
