"I Think The Federal Government Has Just Dropped The Ball"


"The federal government has botched its responsibility to secure the nation’s southern border in recent years, Sen. John Cornyn said Thursday. And he promised to push legislation that would pressure employers to make certain they are not hiring undocumented workers . . . 'We have to make it easy for employers to verify the status of prospective employees or this is not going to work,' Cornyn said. 'If Visa and MasterCard can provide a card and a card swiper for a modest cost that can authorize a purchase in a matter of seconds, I believe we have the technology and can employ that technology to make that possible.'" Cornyn along with Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ) has introduced guest worker amnesty legislation in the Senate.
