Tennessee "Driving Certificates" Lure Illegal Aliens From Across U.S.
"Tennessee's driving certificate for illegal immigrants isn't valid as a form of ID, but people are paying hundreds of dollars on the black market and 
traveling hundreds of miles to get one. Tennessee has issued more than 51,000 certificates since it became the first state to offer them in July 2004, but not every certificate has gone to someone living there," the AP reports. "Two major federal arrests in recent months exposed shuttles bringing South and Central American immigrants from as far away as New Jersey to state licensing centers in Knoxville, where the immigrants got certificates using fake residency papers. Last week, a third sweep revealed an alleged conspiracy in which prosecutors say state license examiners in Murfreesboro, outside Nashville, accepted bribes to provide illegal immigrants with driver's licenses and certificates without testing."

Knuckling under to law breakers will only beget more law breaking. Is that so hard to understand? I hope the creators of this travesty are thrown out of office next election. A message needs to be sent to the pols that Americans best interest is paramount. Giveing drivers licenses to illegal aliens is NOT in the best interest of amrericans.

takn, If you are a legal U.S> Citizen you do not have the right to sue anybody for any reason related to immigration, discrimination, housing, benefits, loan repayments, social security benefits or stupid politicians.
If, however, you are in this country illegally then you can go get a free lawyer from the A.C.L.U. and they will file lawsuits for discrimination, racism, religious persecution and failure of the United States Government to pay for your housing, education and welfare benefits.

Just to give an idea how deep this problem is in Tennessee, the following has happened in the last month:
1. Seven Department of Safety employees are under indictment;
2. Federal authorities had to take over because corrrupt state officials refused to close "driving schools" set up to funnel money from illegals to public officials who provided the false certificates.
3. The governor flip-flopped on illegal driver's certificates after his advisors told him he could not win re-election with the native population. This happened after he ended state insurance program for native Tennesseans after illegals overloaded the system.
4. Numerous state senators and representatives, including close relatives of Harold Ford, Jr., are now under indictment or investigation for, among other crimes, registering dead people and illegals.
This state is in freefall. How a U.S. senator (like Frist) from this capitol of this corruption thinks he could get elected dogcatcher let alone president is mind-blowing.
It will do no good to write Frist and threaten not to vote for him for senator and so forth. This man knows he is toast, and is taking his homestate down with him. I shudder for my relatives down there.

the sooner we make all identification issued by federal, state and local government secure and biometric, the sooner we will end the scourge of illegal immigration. don't be decieved when proponents of mass immigration, both legal and illegal, tell you that this won't make a difference. once every fingerprint intercepted by the border patrol, local police, and government agencies is cross referenced with social security (and hence the ability to get a decent job) then we will make real progress. yes, it is a fact.
