FDIC Endorsement of Illegal Alien Mortgages Violates the Law "[T]he FDIC along with the Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corp. have given Comments
So, banks are not required to check immigration status. Okay. Are they required to check credit status? What will happen if an illegal defaults? What will happen if they are deported? Will I be treated the same if I default? Posted by: Bill Dexter on August 5, 2005 02:14 PM Good Article. My Senator Richard Shelby, is in Charge of the Senate Banking Committee. Before this he was the Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence for 8 years. He did nothing about our security then and it seems he will do nothing to stop illegal aliens from banking now. If you follow the money trail most of his money comes from banks and insurance companies that make money from such high ineteret loans. Dont expect any actions from Senator Shelby, he is making too much money off illegal aliens. Posted by: Larry Freeman on August 5, 2005 02:29 PM AMEN,,,,,AMEN,,,,,,A A MEN, AMEN, AMEN !!!!! Posted by: glr on August 5, 2005 02:55 PM This is just the start of a chain reaction. Our economy Posted by: Taking action on August 6, 2005 12:41 AM Any one with last name Shelby is a distant relative of mine (Issac Shelby general in civil war), but make it clear I am completely against this sellout Richard Shelby. Posted by: Shelby Moore on August 6, 2005 02:30 AM I guess this is just another symptom of having a President who promotes criminal behavior. Posted by: lance sjogren on August 7, 2005 10:26 AM Federal law should just be that if a lender lends to someone that is not legally in the US, the lender forfeits all right to the property-as does the owner. This would greatly help fund immigration enforcement. I think the lenders would figure out how to check immigration status under this arrangement. Posted by: Randall Burns on August 7, 2005 02:10 PM Exactly, how can illegals have rights that citizens don't have, to get loans with no ID or verifiable credit history or information of any kind? How can the government encourage banks to engage in criminality and irresponsibility of this magnitude? It makes our government look beholden to the druggocracy south of the border; shouldn't they be concerned by the appearance of impropriety? Non discrimination for foreign criminals is not a decent policy objective. Posted by: John S Bolton on August 7, 2005 08:35 PM I have been saying it for a long time... Those Who Fail To Stop Illegal Immigration Are Either Exploiting It or Profiting From It! It all boils down to making money. The government gives illegals their blessing and you and I end up paying for it in the end. What the hell happens when you or I default on our loans? What happens when you or I don't pay our bills? I am so sick of hearing how illegals are just the working poor, yearning for a better life. They are squeezing every bit of life from these United States and we are suffering for the inactions of our elected officials. Posted by: takn on August 8, 2005 11:12 AM We need to have someone who is legally in this country and white and out of work (preferably because their job was taken by an illegal) go an apply for a home loan. When they get denied the loan when they can't give verifiable income, residence, etc. then get with the A.C.L.U. and file a big old D-I-S-C-R-I-M-I-N-A-T-I-O-N suit and see what happens. . . . Posted by: Sick n' Tired on August 8, 2005 07:48 PM A Federal agency hustling illegals business, this crap will never end without CONSTANT pressure on our elected officials in Washington. Posted by: guy-rhonda on August 9, 2005 04:57 AM Kim Berry, president of the Programmers Guild, an organization that fights to protect American jobs against outsourcing says the Department of Labor has repeatedly refused to post as many as 27,788 job openings--mostly for software engineers--on its website. The DOL has stonewalled requests from organizations like Berry's to do so. American cannot apply for those jobs, and by extension, it also means that those job openings are likely to be filled by H-1B visa holders. Since the full name of the organization is the United States Department of Labor, one can only question why they are working so hard to ensure US citizens do not obtain these jobs. Labor Secretary Elaine L. Chao, states the DOL is "committed to excellence on behalf of American workers and taxpayers." So, why are their jobs not being posted and why aren't US citizens getting preference to these jobs? Posted by: jaded on August 9, 2005 01:19 PM |
