COLORADO SLAVE CASE TESTS TRAFFICKING LAW


"Some of the alleged sex slaves arrested during statewide raids at massage spas are being held at an immigration detention center despite a federal law saying victims of trafficking should not be incarcerated, the Rocky Mountain News has learned," according to a report published by the paper. "But the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 requires the women to tell authorities that they are unwilling participants, and some in the Colorado cases have refused to do so, sources close to the investigation told the News."
