IMMIGRANTS’ RIGHTS GROUPS STEP UP EFFORTS FOR AMNESTY AND BENEFITS


Against the backdrop of last week’s tragedy in which 18 would-be illegal aliens died in the back of a sealed truck, a coalition of immigrants’ rights groups is pushing for relaxation of border control efforts and amnesty for millions of illegal aliens living in the U.S. FAIR points out that enforcing laws against illegal employment would turn off the magnet motivating illegal aliens to attempt what is often a dangerous journey.
